OSIJEK, Aug 27 (Hina) - The first phase of reintegration of the
electric power system in the Croatian Danubian area during which
four diesel-powered electric power plants will be set in
operation, will end on 31 August, coordinator of the Croatian
Electric Power Supply for the Cr0oatian Danubian area, Ivan
Mravak, said in Osijek on Wednesday.
Mravak announced that the diesel-powered electric power
plant in Tovarnik would be operative as of Thursday, while plants
in Vukovar, Dalj and Ilok, on Friday.
In the second phase, by the end of September, transmission
lines would be reconstructed which would ensure that the area is
supplied constantly with electric power, Mravak said.
According to him, the planned amount for projects in these
two phases was 31 million kuna (US $ 4.84 million).
Last year, the Croatian Electric Power Supply invested 16
million kuna (US $ 2.5 million) into the construction of an
electric power network in towns included in the pilot-programme
of return.
