Returning people to their homes, their social and health care and new
jobs could solve most of the problems, but this needed more financial
support.
On the one hand, I agree that the international community should
promote human rights and cooperation with the international war crimes
tribunal, but on the other hand, many problems in Croatia are the effect of
the lack of financial resources, Derycke said.
The problem of refugees and displaced persons was still acute in
Croatia, not even three percent of displaced persons had returned to the
Croatian Danubian area, Klaric said.
Speaking about the protection of human rights, Klaric stressed that
this was a "political and moral issue which Croatia will solve by appropriate
means and as soon as possible",
All rights will be ensured for Serbs in the Danubian area, Klaric said.
