HVAR, Aug 21 (Hina) - The town of Hvar, on the central Adriatic
island of the same name, this summer regained its pre-war tourist
success.
The town is presently accommodating 7,000 foreign and domestic
tourists, which is the highest number of visitors in the past seven
years. The 2,400 beds of the Suncani Hvar Hotel have been full for
the last two months. Private accommodation is also satisfactory.
Hvar daily welcomes numerous boats and yachts. Two-hundred are
currently docked in the harbour.
Many businessmen and diplomats from around the world are
spending their summer holidays in Hvar this year as well.
The whole island of Hvar is at the moment accommodating some
15,000 guests, mostly Italians, Austrians, Germans and Slovenes.
