ZAGREB, Aug 20 (Hina) - Croatian and Yugoslav government
commissions ended two-day talks on a border traffic agreement in
Zagreb on Wednesday.
The two sides adjusted the text of the agreement and agreed
on reciprocity in the size of an area that would be covered by
the border traffic regime, said a statement released after the
meeting.
The two commissions left it to Croatian Foreign Minister
Mate Granic and his Yugoslav counterpart Milan Milutinovic to set
a date when the agreement would go into force.
The Croatian delegation was headed by Assistant Foreign
Minister Hido Biscevic and Assistant Interior Minister Josko
Moric.
The Yugoslav delegation was led by Foreign Ministry
official Rajko Bogdanovic and Assistant Interior Minister Mile
Puzovic.
It is estimated that the agreement will have a positive
impact on the further process of peaceful reintegration of the
UN-administered Danube river region into Croatia.
This agreement, along with five more agreements which were
adjusted earlier, is expected to be signed at the next meeting of
Granic and Milutinovic, which is expected to take place very
soon, the statement said.
