CROATIAN FIRMS TO BUILD GORICAN-ZAGREB-RIJEKA HIGHWAY

ZAGREB, July 29 (Hina) - The Reconstruction and Development Ministry said on Tuesday that after considering most favourable final bids for constructing Gorican-Zagreb-Rijeka highway sections, the government commission for highway concessions made conclusions which it proposed then to the Government. One of the proposals is that bids of foreign companies for the concession at the Gorican-Zagreb-Rijeka highway do not be accepted and that the international bid invitation for the mentioned highway be closed. According to the other proposal, the Government should set up a joint stock company "Gorican-Zagreb-Rijeka Highway", that will construct the road in next three years, using domestic and foreign loans, and being supported by Croatian Army and Croatia's construction companies.
