Spokesman for the Office of the High Representative for the
implementation of the peace agreement, Simon Haselock, said that
problems in the Serb entity were expected to be resolved in a way as to
not jeopardise the peace process.
He added there was a possibility of the establishment of a dual
system of power in the Serb entity, but warned that the international
community would cooperate only with those bodies of power which
respected the Constitution.
Similar stances were conveyed by the spokesman for the UN mission
in Bosnia, Aleksandar Ivanko, and spokesman for the OSCE mission, David
Foley, who warned that the recent events confirmed that Radovan Karadzic
continued to have a destructive influence on the peace process, and that
he should be sent to The Hague for that as soon as possible.
SFOR spokesman Chris Riley once again categorically dismissed
statements by the media in Pale that NATO soldiers in Bosnia had
received orders to apprehend Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic.
