NOVA GRADISKA, July 14 (Hina) - Sixty-two Serb refugees returned to
Slavonski Brod County between May 15 and July 1, police said in a
statement on Monday.
The statement said that 370 Serbs remained in the Okucani area
after it was liberated by Croatian military and police forces in
Operation Flash in May 1995.
About 8,500 people, including 7,500 Croats, 800 Serbs and 200
members of other ethnic groups, are currently living in the area.
A significant number of people have returned without notifying the
local authorities, which creates problems, the statement said.
