KLISA, 15 July (Hina) - An agreement on the establishment of the Joint Council of Municipalities of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium was signed in the base of the U.N. Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia
(UNTAES) in Klisa on Tuesday. The agreement was signed by the U.N. Administrator for Eastern Slavonia, Jacques Klein, Croatian Vice Premier Jure Radic and, on behalf of the Serb side, by Milos Vojnovic. Present at the signing ceremony were also Vice Premier Zlatko Matesa, Defence Minister Gojko Susak and U.S. Ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith.

KLISA, 15 July (Hina) - An agreement on the establishment of the Joint
Council of Municipalities of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western
Sirmium was signed in the base of the U.N. Transitional Administration
for Eastern Slavonia (UNTAES) in Klisa on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed by the U.N. Administrator for Eastern
Slavonia, Jacques Klein, Croatian Vice Premier Jure Radic and, on behalf
of the Serb side, by Milos Vojnovic. Present at the signing ceremony
were also Vice Premier Zlatko Matesa, Defence Minister Gojko Susak and

General Klein said that the agreement was a crucial document which
would enable the people from the region to gain access to the highest
level of Croatian executive authority.
Vice Premier Radic said that with its Constitution and by having
signed the Letter of Intent, Croatia had secured the establishment of
the Joint Council of Municipalities.
The President of the Joint Council of Municipalities, Milos
Vojnovic, expressed satisfaction with the fact that the agreement had
been signed. The agreement would help realise the results of the process
of peaceful reintegration, Vojnovic said.
