After the meeting, Shattuck held a press conference at which he
stressed that he was pleased to know that the officials of the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina last week signed a statement agreeing
that returnees to the Brcko area should receive Republika Srpska
personal documents.
The outcome of the peace process will also depend on Brcko,
Shattuck said, adding that the international community would continue to
monitor the situation in the town and region.
He added that he had received assurances from the Republika Srpska
authorities that freedom of movement would not be restricted and that
inter-entity traffic and passenger transport would not be charged.
