GOSPIC/LOVINAC/SVETI ROK, July 16 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa, accompanied by ministers Jure Radic, Nenad Porges, Zlatko Dominikovic and Ivan Majdak, visited the Lika-Senj County on Wednesday. At the county's
centre, Gospic, Matesa held talks with county leaders about the situation in economy which had suffered great war damage, and about the reconstruction of family houses and infrastructure.

Zlatko Matesa, accompanied by ministers Jure Radic, Nenad Porges, Zlatko
Dominikovic and Ivan Majdak, visited the Lika-Senj County on Wednesday.
At the county's centre, Gospic, Matesa held talks with county
leaders about the situation in economy which had suffered great war
damage, and about the reconstruction of family houses and
infrastructure. #L#
As part of the development of small and middle-scale family
business, 87 development programmes had been submitted to relevant
ministries, and some had begun to be realised, such as the Food Factory
in Udbina, the construction of a brewery "Licanka" is to begin by the
end of the week, several food processing factories are operational and a
milk factory is being completed in Brinje.
With the support of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and
Development, the county offers credit for the employment and self-
employment of demobilised soldiers.
Eight hundred family houses are near completion and 1,1000 are
being reconstructed.
The talks also focused on demographic reconstruction.
The county leadership estimated that the Lika-Senj County had
suffered great war damage and should have priority in the overall
development of Croatia.
