VUKOVAR, July 2 (Hina) - Croatian Reconstruction and Development
Minister, Jure Radic, and his associates are touring Vukovar on
Wednesday.
A closed-door meeting of Radic with UN Transitional Administrator,
Jacques Klein, Vukovar-Sirmium County Prefect Rudolf Koenig, mayors of
towns and municipalities in UNTAES-controlled parts of Vukovar-Sirmium
and Osijek-Baranja Counties and local Serb leaders, is under way in
Vukovar's suburb of Borovo.
Minister Radic and UNTAES officials are expected to sign agreements
on customs and on apartment allocation after the meeting.
Ahead of the session Radic said that the apartment allocation
treaty would envisage that apartments that are being renovated in
Vukovar should be allocated to "former owners and tenants who are
Croatian citizens," and apartments that remain unoccupied should be
taken by firms and institutions to which they had belonged before the
war.
He added that the customs agreement was being harmonised.
Radic is due to tour Ceric and Vinkovci on Wednesday as well.
