CRO FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES PRESIDENT OF INT COURT FOR SEA LAW

ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Monday received the president of the International Court for Sea Law, Thomas Mensah, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Granic stressed that Croatia, as a maritime country with a long- standing maritime tradition, supported the activity of the International Court for Sea Law, especially in settling disputes concerning maritime zones, fishing and sea protection. Mensah, visiting Croatia for the first time since his appointment as president of the International Court for Sea Law, expressed great satisfaction with the appointment of Budislav Vukas as the Court's judge which, as Mensah said, only confirmed the great contribution of Croatian experts and scientists to the development of sea law. Croatia's foreign minister acquainted his guest with the course of the Croatian Danube region's peaceful reintegration. After the process was completed Croatia would, according to Granic, direct its efforts at interior development and the realization of all strategic goals in view of political, economic and security Euroatlantic integrations, the statement by the Croatian Foreign Ministry concluded.
