reporters from the Bosnian federation and Republika Srpska. US political analyst Ry Ryan spoke about the role of the media in creating public opinion, and Editor-in-Chief of the Sarajevo-based "Svijet", Zlatko Dizdarevic, spoke about the freedom of media.

Livno (south-west Bosnia-Herzegovina) on Saturday.
Attending the conference were some thirty reporters from the
Bosnian federation and Republika Srpska.
US political analyst Ry Ryan spoke about the role of the media in

Without social freedoms, there was no freedom of the media, and
Bosnia-Herzegovina was still not a free society, Dizdarevic said.
OSCE official from Bihac, a representative of the Experts Sub-
Commission, Luke Zahner, spoke about the media and elections.
After a discussion and reporters' questions, the participants
initiated the establishment of an Association of Reporters in the
Herzeg-Bosnian Canton.
