SARAJEVO, June 5 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat-Moslem Federation president
Vladimir Soljic and Bosnian Serb Republic president Biljana Plavsic met
in the Serb-held northwestern city of Banja Luka on Thursday to discuss
the implementation of conclusions from the political declaration from
Sintra, Portugal, and the further implementation of the Dayton peace
agreement.
A statement from Soljic's cabinet described the talks as "open".
The presidents of Bosnia-Herzegovina's two entities expressed full
support for the refugees and displaced persons being given the
opportunity to decide for themselves where they wanted to live.
The meeting expressed a need for a comprehensive solution to that
problem in the form of a special plan for gradual return of refugees.
Noting that the economies of the two entities were complementary,
Soljic and Plavsic drew attention to the need for inter-entity economic
cooperation, which should be based on the restoration of communications
with the neighbouring countries.
