Granic and Knezevic discussed the current state of Croatian-
Yugoslav relations and arranged dates for the beginning of talks on
agreements on border crossings and border traffic, a consular
convention, an agreement on mutual legal assistance and problems
concerning dual citizenship.
The Croat side would present its expert legal opinion
concerning the proposed text of the agreement on dual citizenship
during those talks.
Granic stressed the importance the signing of the agreement on
border traffic and the setting up of border crossings would have
for the completion of the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian
Danubian area.
The Croatian side expected that a commission would be set up
as soon as possible in line with Article 7 of the Normalization
Agreement, with the aim of regulating relations in payment
operations and customs system to the benefit of both sides.
Granic said he expected that all those steps would lead to
progress in the implementation of the Normalization Agreement and
positively affect the completion of the peaceful reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area.
Granic said he was very dissatisfied with the latest one-sided
decisions of the Yugoslav Administration for Civil Aviation
concerning the control of air space, stressing that those problems
should be solved in the interest of both states and international
air traffic and in line with regulations of the International Civil
Aviation Organization (ICAO).
