ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - An assistant to the Croatian Foreign
Minister, Hido Biscevic, on Wednesday received Veljko Knezevic, the
charge d'affaires of the Yugoslav (FRY) embassy in Zagreb, the
foreign ministry said in a statement.
Biscevic and Knezevic considered the current situation in
relations between Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,
and particularly implementation of agreements of Foreign Ministers
Granic and Milutinovic reached during their recent meetings.
They paid special attention to the announced meeting of expert
commissions which are expected to discuss border crossings and a
draft treaty on cross-border trade.
Croatia expected that the reaching of agreements on the two
important issues in due course would have a positive impact on the
relations between the two countries and on the completion of
peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area, Biscevic
said.
He added that on that occasion Croatia's view on regulation of
the status of citizens in line with international practice and
legislations of the two countries would be conveyed to a delegation
of the FRY, the statement said.
