IZMIR, March 26 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic,
his associates and Croatian Ambassador to Turkey, Ivica Tomic, on
Wednesday arrived in the western Turkish seaport of Izmir where
they were received by the deputy governor of that Turkish region,
Husein Poroy.
Croatian officials toured Seljuk Museum outside the city and
then the ancient town of Ephesus, a world-famous archeological
site. They also visited a house where the Virgin Mary had been
born, in the vicinity of Ephesus.
Minister Biskupic said during the tour that the agreement on
education, scientific and cultural cooperation between Turkey and
Croatia would enable the exchange of experts and scientists,
particularly of archeologists.
He also thanked Turkish hosts for their hospitality and
Turkish people for its help to Croatia during the Serb-led Yugoslav
aggression against.
