ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo
Sanader on Tuesday received a delegation of the city of Mainz,
headed by Mayor Herman-Hartmut Weyel. The delegation is visiting
Zagreb on occasion of the 30th anniversary of friendly cooperation
between Zagreb and Mainz.
Participants in the talks had agreed with satisfaction that
the 30-year-old friendly cooperation between Zagreb and Mainz was
reflected in the current successful cooperation between Croatia and
Germany, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Sanader informed Weyel about the process of peaceful
reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area and preparations for
elections in the area, expressing optimism about the successful end
of the UNTAES mandate on 15 July this year.
Weyel expressed satisfaction about the process of peaceful
reintegration so far and the successes Croatia has managed to
achieve in the fields of economy and tourism despite the aggression
against it. He expressed conviction that a large number of German
tourists would return to Croatian summer resorts, the statement
said.
