ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel
on Friday assessed that "by arresting the suspected founders
of organized crime in Mostar, the Croatian authorities had for
the first time undertaken the long-required steps for creating
conditions in Mostar which would be in compliance with the
rule-of-law and non-violence".
Kinkel's statement, forwarded to Hina by the German
Embassy in Zagreb, pointed out that the road "undertaken by
the Croatian authorities showed the right direction" and that
it was "now necessary to immediately and thoroughly implement
the conclusions of the investigative report by the
International Police Task Force".
