ZAGREB, Jan 30 (Hina) - Croatia's Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Thursday received Michael Steiner, a deputy High Representative for
implementation of peace agreements in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatian
Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Croatian Minister and the German diplomat discussed the
implementation of the Dayton peace accords in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and activities for strengthening the (Croat-Moslem) Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina which would be the main topic of the forthcoming
session of the Forum of the Federation.
They also exchanged views on the situation in a wide region
and its impact on the peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Steiner described as positive the Croatian Government's letter
of intent forwarded to the Security Council. The two agreed that
the successful completion of the peaceful reintegration of the
Croatian Danubian area would positively influence the peace process
in Bosnia as well.
Minister Granic stressed that the basic strategic interest of
Croatia, as a central European country, was to joint central
European and EuroAtlantic integration processes and to have
stability in its neighbourhood.
