ZAGREB, 17 Jan (Hina) - The Dutch brewery 'Bavaria Bv' and the
Zagreb company 'Maloks Beer', which is the authorised
representative and distributor for 'Bavaria Bv' in Croatia, on
Friday signed a contract on joint investment in a new company,
'Bavaria Croatia', said a statement from Glumina Banka, which is
the business bank and partner of the two companies.
'Bavaria Croatia' will produce and sell beer under license
from 'Bavaria Bv'.
In the first investment phase, the Dutch and Croatian
partners, financially supported by Glumina Banka, will build a 22-
million-kuna worth (US $4 million) plant for beer processing and
bottling. The two partners will then devise a program of complete
beer production.
'Maloks Beer' and 'Bavaria Bv' have been cooperating in the
presentation of 'Bavaria' products in Croatia for five years.
