ZAGREB, 9 Jan (Hina) - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs,
Transport and Communications on Thursday notified Radio 101 by
official letter that it would extend the permit for the broadcast
of Radio 101 program on the frequency 94,3 MHz.
The Ministry also informed Radio 101 that 'it is to pay
3,187,50 kuna of compensation for the use of radio frequencies'
for the period between 16 January and 31 January 1997.
The Parliament Council for Telecommunications today stated
that bid-opening for the allocation of radio broadcast
concessions will take place on 20 January.
Invitation to bid includes the allocation of two radio
concessions for the Zagreb city area and radio concessions for
Imotski, Knin, Omis, Petrinja, Vukovar (currently based in
Vinkovci), the wider area of Krk, Hrvatska Kostajnica and Sunja.
The duration of concessions for the area of Zagreb County
and the City of Zagreb is five years.
The deadline for the arrival of bids is 15 January 1997 and
the Council's decision will be published 30 days after the expiry
of the deadline at the latest.
