US AMBASSADOR VISITS CROATIAN INTERIOR MINISTRY

ZAGREB, Dec 24 (Hina) - The United States' Ambassador to Croatia, William Montgomery, visited the Croatian Interior Ministry sector for securing protected facilities on Thursday, and thanked its employees for the successful protection of the Embassy personnel and facilities, as well as the protection of members of his family. The sector for securing protected facilities secures consulates and embassies in Croatia, as well as other significant facilities, such as the Croatian National Sabor, the Government building, and so on. Montgomery said that it was proven that in the past 20 years it was more dangerous to be an American diplomat than an American soldier, and added the United States paid great attention to its security. Montgomery recalled this year's attacks on Kenya and Tanzania due to which the United States posed numerous security demands from the Croatian Government, Montgomery said. He added that the Croatian response was positive, quick, and efficient.
