ZAGREB, Dec 21 (Hina) - The leading Croatian pharmaceutical company +Pliva on Monday completed a transaction selling the first US$ four +million worth of its commercial bills to domestic institutional +investors.+ The transaction was
carried by Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ), within +a programme for issuing Pliva's commercial bills. The bills were +sold for a period of 91 days, with a maturity date of March 22 next +year.+ According to the PBZ, the transaction marks the beginning of the +programme. The PBZ and Pliva signed a contract on the programme only +a couple of days prior to the sale of the first portion of bills.+ According to the contract, the PBZ undertakes to maintain the +secondary market on a daily basis and inform the interested +investors of the selling and buying prices of the issued commercial +bills.+ The PBZ will in the shortest possible time enable the purchase of +commercial

According to the PBZ, the transaction marks the beginning of the
programme. The PBZ and Pliva signed a contract on the programme only

According to the contract, the PBZ undertakes to maintain the

investors of the selling and buying prices of the issued commercial
