ZAGREB, Dec 18 (Hina) - The Croatian National Sabor's House of
Representatives continued its extraordinary session on Friday with
a discussion on the bill on the implementation of the state budget
for 1999.
The bill envisages the payment of state and other expenses for the
rights and duties of budgetary users.
Recalling that the Government had adopted a part of comments from
the bill's first reading, Deputy Finance Minister Mijo Jukic
explained the reason for the Government's refusal to accept motions
to rescind provisions which suspend some provisions of other laws.
Some of these provisions pertain to laws for which funds had not
been ensured by the state budget.
A part of these provisions are being temporarily set aside, as laws
do not need changing, but the bill on the implementation of the
budget temporarily suspends the provisions, Jukic said.
The Lower House should also vote on the draft state budget for next
year, the bill on the implementation of the budget and amendments to
the laws on Value Added Tax and income tax.
