FEDERATION LOWER HOUSE: NO CONCLUSION ON AGREEMENT WITH CROATIA

SARAJEVO, Nov 18 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation Assembly House of Representatives reached no conclusion on the agreement on special relations with Croatia, after a nine-hour session on Wednesday. Not one motioned conclusion received the necessary parliament majority votes. The Lower House bound the President of the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina, Ejup Ganic, to prepare a report for the next House session on what has so far been done in the international arbitration for Brcko which should be concluded by the end of this year. Brcko is Bosnia-Herzgovina's northern town where Bosniak (Moslems) and Croats were in majority before the war. The Bosnian Serbs occupied the town during the war to create a corridor between the Bosnian Serb territory and Serbia. International arbitration has been appointed to resolve the issue, but a decision was delayed twice already. The town is currently under an international supervisor. The House of Representatives also bound the Federation Government to prepare an integral report for the next session on the recent arrests of MP of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia- Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), Pavo Sljivic and of the Social-Democratic Action party (SDA) Omer Cevro.
