ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - The decision of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic to suspend the agreement
on duty-free trade with Croatia was made "in an inappropriate
moment", Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa told Croatian Radio
on Wednesday.
"Technically speaking, it did not come as a surprise but it did
surprise us in the context of what Croatia has been doing to improve
its relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina and secure as consistent
implementation of the Washington and Dayton agreements as
possible, of which the agreement on special relations (between
Croatia and BH Federation) was a result", Matesa said.
Croatia already has a proposal of an economic agreement with
Bosnia-Herzegovina, he added.
The agreement, which will be officially forwarded to the BH
authorities in the next few days, is similar to Croatia's
agreements with other countries and envisages the opening of a
free-trade zone, the Prime Minister said.
