MONTENEGRO PLANT TO OPEN BORDER CROSSING AT DEBELI BRIJEG

BELGRADE, Dec 9 (Hina) - Montenegran Industry Minister Vojin Djukanovic said Wednesday that the opening of a border crossing with Croatia at Debeli Brijeg (between Montenegro and southern Croatia) was one of the conditions for Montenegran economy policy. He added that the issue must be resolved soon. "If the federal government does not resolve this issue, the crossing will be independently opened by the Montenegran government," Djukanovic told reporters in Belgrade an a symposium of Yugoslav economists on economy policy for next year. Djukanovic said Montenegro has "created conditions for the withdrawal of certain sanctions," that it expected trade benefits, the approach to international financial institutions, permits for investment into the country and flights of the Montenegran air transport company "Montenegro Airlines". Djukanovic reiterated that Montenegro did not accept the decisions of the federal government, and would place customs tariffs under its control and fins means to protect itself from the inflation of the German mark.
