SMUGGLED KOSOVO ALBANIAN CHILDREN KEPT HOSTAGE IN SARAJEVO?

SPLIT, Dec 11 (Hina) - Six Kosovo Albanian children are kept hostage by an Albanian man in Sarajevo because their mother has not paid the money she promised for the children's illegal transfer to Croatia, Croatian police in the southern port of Split reported on Friday. The information was obtained from an accessory in the whole business, who was arrested in Split on Thursday and placed in custody. The plan was to transfer the woman and her six children from the afflicted south Yugoslav province of Kosovo to Varazdin, a town in northern Croatia, for DEM6,000. Upon arriving in Sarajevo from Kosovo, the Albanian man kept two of the children in the Bosnian capital as guarantee that the promised money would be paid. His accessory took the mother and the four other children to Siroki Brijeg, a town in southern Bosnia, where the woman told him she did not have any money. The accessory sent the children to Sarajevo, but did take the woman to Varazdin. The police reported the children were hostages in Sarajevo and were searched for.
