DIRECTORS OF CENTRAL EUROPEAN FAIR CENTRES MEET

ZAGREB, Dec 8 (Hina) - Ten directors of Central European centres on Wednesday held talks at the Zagreb fair on providing joint marketing endorsement for similar-theme fairs. At the next working meeting of fair centre directors which is scheduled to take place in Graz next June, participants will discuss the final adoption of a draft concept, general directors of the Munich Fair and the Zagreb Fair, Manfred Wutzlhofer and Jurica Pavelic said. The cooperation of central European fair directors began three years ago, and for the first time conclusions were adopted which will enrich their further cooperation, Wutzlhofer said. Zagreb Fair director Jurica Pavelic stressed that it is the intention of fair centre directors to treat their countries as a joint marketing area, notwithstanding whether the countries are members of the European Union, or were on the way of becoming members. The goal is for the cooperation to promote mutual trade among the countries and overall economic situation, as well as to spur appearances in third countries. Present at the meeting were directors of fairs from Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Graz, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Munich, Bern, Vienna and Zagreb. (hina) lml jn
