ZAGREB, Dec 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Government has forwarded the +draft budget for 1999 to the second reading at the National Sabor.+ The draft budget contains expenditures of US$37.6 million less than +had been proposed in the first
reading.+ The revenues and expenditures for the state budget in 1999 would, +according to the new Government proposal, total US$7.7 billion +instead of the previously motioned $7.8 billion.+ The Government explained that the lower budget amounts have been +achieved by a decrease of expenses for materials, energy, utility +and other regular services, by a decrease in maintenance expenses +and other expenses, while capital expenses were decreased by +decreasing office furniture, computer and vehicle purchases.+ The House of Representatives will discuss the draft budget at an +extraordinary session called for December 16.+(hina) lml jn+
