Skara on Wednesday discussed the possibility of an accelerated
pension plan for journalists.
Discussing the initiatives for the journalists' accelerated
pension plan during a House of Representatives session, Skara said
the government would gather accelerated pension solutions of other
countries and examine them by the second reading.
The MPs proposed several other professions which, according to
their opinion, should also have accelerated pension plans.
The professions proposed are for drivers of buses, cargo trucks,
and special cargo, surgeons, medical radiologists,
anaesthesiologists, pathologists, doctors, nurses, technicians
in intensive care and operating rooms, postmen, and professional
fishermen.
The Lower House also discussed an amendment by which companies from
formerly occupied Croatian territory and war areas would have
demands written off in the amount of US$100 million.
