HERZEGOVINA-NERETVA CANTON ASSEMBLY ESTABLISHED

MOSTAR, Oct 27 (Hina) - The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly on Tuesday held its constitutive session. In line with results of September's elections, the Assembly numbers 25 members of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), 18 representatives of the Coalition for an Integral and Democratic Bosnia-Herzegovina, led by the Bosniak (Moslem) Party of Democratic Action (SDA), three members of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia-Herzegovina (SDP), and one representative each of the Croat Party of Rights (HSP), a coalition of the New Croat initiative and Croat Democratic Christian Union, the Bosnia- Herzegovina Patriot Party and Social Democrats of Bosnia- Herzegovina. Out of the total 50 Assembly councillors, 28 are Croats, 21 Bosniaks and one of other nationalities. Ham Masles (SDA candidate) was elected Canton Prefect, and Rade Bosnjak of HDZ BiH as his deputy. Chairman of the canton Assembly is Ljubo Zovko (HDZ BiH candidate) and his deputy Asim Suta (Party for Bosnia-Herzegovina candidate). Eleven representatives were elected for the Bosnian Federation Assembly's Upper House - five Croats and Bosniaks and one of another nationality. (hina) lml jn
