SCHOLARSHIP FUND "GOJKO SUSAK" ESTABLISHED

ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - The memorial scholarship fund "Gojko Susak", established by the Blazevich Family Forum, was presented at a press conference in Zagreb on Friday. The Blazevich Family Forum is run by John Blazevich, a Croat emigrant from California and one of the most successful Croat business people in the United States. The fund will award two-year scholarships for M.A. degree programmes in international relations and policy, diplomatic service, international trade and similar areas. The scholarships will be awarded to Croatian citizens, primarily those who served in the Croatian Armed Forces during the Homeland war and their spouses and children, it was said at the press conference. Today's presentation of the fund was also attended by the Susak family, the president of the Fund's advisory board, Miroslav Tudjman, Foreign Minister Mate Granic and Deputy Defence Minister Kresimir Cosic. "This is a gift I want to give Croatia. I believe that my friend Gojko Susak was a very special man and I want his name to be remembered by everyone", Blazevich said. Foreign Minister and member of the advisory board Mate Granic stressed that the fund would be a link between Croat emigrants and Croats living in Croatia. (hina) rml
