GOVERNMENT ON JUDICIARY, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

ZAGREB, Oct 22 (Hina)- In a closed door session on Thursday the +Government discussed and endorsed a report by the Ministry of +Justice on the situation in the judiciary. The report will be used +as a basis for a parliamentary debate on the situation in the +judiciary. The Government was also informed about the drafting of a +bill on salaries of the judges and other judiciary officials.+The Government endorsed a draft of a strategy of Croatia's +development, which will be sent to the Parliament for debate. The Government embraced an initiative by the Blazevic fund, founded by a renown American Croat family, for the establishment of the Gojko Susak Memorial Fund. The fund would finance post-graduate studies b Croatian citizens in the USA. The Government is ready to employ all the beneficiaries of the fund in the Government bodies. New Minister of Economy is Kazimir Varda and Deputy Minister of Culture Jadran Antolovic (M.A.) Mirko Bolfek has been relieved of the duty of editor-in-chief of the Hina news agency.
