OSIJEK, Oct 19 (Hina) - The eastern Croatian Osijek-Baranja County
will sign next month a basic agreement on the Danube-Drava-Sava
Inter-regional Cooperation, County Prefect Srecko Lovrincevic and
Hungary's Baranja County secretary Tamasa Sifkija concluded on
Monday.
The basic agreement also includes the said Hungarian County, as
well as Tuzla-Podrinje Canton in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Discussing the stimulation of economic cooperation, Lovrincevic
and Sifkija assessed the building of the 5C European road corridor
was at present of outstanding importance for the town of Osijek in
eastern Croatia and Pecs in Hungary.
Due to the necessity of establishing a Croatian-Hungarian crossing
on the corridor, Lovrincevic agreed to host a meeting between the
ministers of transport of the two countries.
The first such meeting was held in Mohacs last spring.
