STOCKHOLM, Oct 18 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister for Return and
Immigration Marijan Petrovic and his associates are paying their
first visit to the Croat community in Sweden.
The Croatian delegation, which arrived in Stockholm on Saturday,
met last night with members of the Croat cultural society "Matija
Gubec". Petrovic informed his hosts about the help his Ministry was
providing for Croat returnees.
Assistant Minister Domagoj Ante Petric spoke about the current
political situation in Croatia. Petric also mentioned the question
of diaspora voting, saying that the right of Croat emigrants to vote
was inalienable.
The Croat community from Stockholm showed interest in realising
their right to customs benefits and complained about
administrative problems. Many of them were also interested in the
possibility of educating their children in Croatia.
On Sunday, Petrovic visited the Croatian Embassy in Stockholm,
after which he attended a service at St. Steven's church, where he
met with members of the Croat Catholic community.
