BOSNIA'S DEBT TO INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS IS US$8 MILLION

( Editorial: --> 4956 ) SARAJEVO, Oct 2 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH) owes US$8 million for its memberships in different international organisations, and its US$1.5 million debt to the UN has deprived it of suffrage at the UN for over a year, Sarajevo "Oslobodenje" daily reported on Friday. BH is the only country among former Yugoslav republics, with the exception of non UN-member current Yugoslavia, which has not been paying the annual fee of US$500,000 to the world organisation, says the "Oslobodenje". DEM3 million from the BH state budget has been approved so far for the costs of different memberships. The Foreign Ministry is in charge of making a list of priorities. According to "Oslobodjenje", the first to be paid are BH's debts to the UN and a FRF220,000 debt to the Interpol. (hina) it/ha 021240 MET oct 98
