VUKOVAR, Sept 14 (Hina) - The Vukovar town authorities on Monday
began registering the tenants of flats in residential buildings in
the town area.
Vukovar Mayor Vladimir Stengl passed the decision to go ahead with
the registration several days ago.
According to the mayoral office spokesman Tomislav Corka, the
decision to begin the registration process was passed to assess the
real situation in the town housing fund.
The register will hold facts on the number of reconstructed and
unreconstructed flats, their current tenants, and the legal
documents used by individuals as the basis for their tenancy in the
flats.
The town authorities informed the Vukovar missions of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the
European Union of their decision.
