ROME, Sept 9 (Hina) - The forthcoming visit by Pope John Paul II to
Croatia and the fourth agreement between Croatia and the Catholic
Church were the key topics of talks which Zagreb Archbishop Josip
Bozanic began on Wednesday with the Holy See's heads in the
Vatican.
Bozanic will more than likely discuss the Pope's visit to Croatia
scheduled for October 2 to 4, and most especially about the
beatification of the late Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac on October 3
in Marija Bistrica.
It is expected that a fourth agreement between Croatia and the
Church amongst Croats regarding some economic issues could be
signed during the Pope's visit to Croatia. Archbishop Bozanic is
expected to discuss this issue while in Rome.
The agreement should determine that the state should return
property belonging to the Church. Also to be resolved is the issue
regarding financial activities in which Croatian priests are
involved with.
It is expected that Archbishop Bozanic will remain in Rome until
Friday.
