PULA, Sept 2 (Hina) - Latest figures from the Istria County Tourism
Association indicate that the north-western Croatian region
currently has 85,600 tourists, mostly foreigners, which is 7.23 per
cent more than last year.
The western Istrian coastal towns of Rovinj and Porec have the
highest number of visitors, followed by Funtana, Umag, Vrsar and
Medulin.
Poor weather in recent days has resulted in a large number of
tourists leaving motor camps in Istria and the number of tourists
compared to last weekend has been reduced by 44,000.
Tourist workers report that most hotels in the county will remain
open until the middle of September.
