PRISTINA, Aug 4 (Hina) - Serbian forces on Tuesday continued their
offensive in the area of Djakovica and Decani near the border with
Albania.
Clash have also continued in central parts of Kosovo and in Drenica,
Kosovo Albanian sources in Pristina reported today.
According to a committee for human rights protection in Srbica,
Serbian forces continued their attacks during last night and this
morning.
The village of Lausha near Srbica, which has been under siege for
five months, was caught in fire and smoke this morning, after
Serbian tanks entered it Monday evening.
It is claimed that there are victims on both sides but their number
has not been confirmed.
Clashes and victims have also been reported in the nearby village of
Polace.
Local human rights committees in Djakovica have reported fierce
fighting in villages near the border with Albania.
Serbian sources claim that two Yugoslav soldiers and several dozen
Kosovo Albanians were killed in the border area on Monday.
Fierce fighting has continued in the Decani municipality as well.
Two Albanian women and a man were killed in Decani on Monday,
Albanian sources report.
