BRCKO/SARAJEVO, July 28 (Hina) - A civilian was killed in the north-
eastern Bosnian town of Brcko (under Serb control) on Monday.
The body of returnee Almir Karic (born in 1975) showed sighs of
physical abuse, the Bosnian Federation Interior Ministry said
without specifying the location of the murder nor how the deceased
was found.
Bosniak (Moslem) political representatives asked authorities to
conduct an urgent and thorough investigation which would lead to
the arrest of the perpetrator(s).
Political parties issued statements recalling a number of
incidents where the property and personal safety of returnees to
Brcko had been jeopardised with the aim of blocking further return
of displaced persons to the town, Bosniak media reported Monday.
Bosniak and Croat displaced persons and refugees have been asked to
refrain from any kind of acts that could obstruct the return of
people to their home town of Brcko.
