BELGRADE, July 4 (Hina) - The remains of Slavko Dokmanovic were
transferred from The Hague to Belgrade on Saturday where a second
autopsy was performed, Belgrade attorney Toma Fila said.
Dokmanovic was charged with war crimes before the International
Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, where he committed
suicide earlier this week.
The tribunal had not invited Yugoslav experts to attend an autopsy
in The Hague, so another one was performed, Fila, who was
Dokmanovic's defence attorney, told Beta agency.
The results of separate investigations into Dokmanovic's death
carried out by tribunal experts and the Dutch police will be known
later next week, Fila said.
Then it will be known whether it was murder or suicide, he said.
Dokmanovic was charged with the killing of at least 200 Croats near
Vukovar, eastern Croatia.
He was found dead by hanging in his tribunal cell last Monday.
The burial will take place in Sombor, Yugoslavia, on Sunday.
