GENEVA, June 23 (Hina) - The sixth round of bilateral negotiations
between delegations of Croatia and nine other World Trade
Organisation member-countries with special economic interests in
Croatia will begin at the WTO seat in Geneva on Wednesday.
Until June 26 the Croatian delegation, headed by Assistant Economy
Minister Neven Mimica, will hold talks with delegations from Japan,
the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Australia, the United States,
Canada, Switzerland, Mexico, Norway and New Zealand.
The biggest difficulties the said countries had concerning
Croatia's access to the WTO have already been overcome, and the
negotiations process is expected to be completed by year's end.
A Slovene delegation will not take part in the sixth round of talks
with Croatia. Slovenia has conditioned further negotiations on the
resolving of open property and legal issues between the two
countries.
