GOVT DISCUSSES REPORT ON CITIZENS WHO LEAVE FOR OTHER COUNTRIES

( Editorial: --> 6660 ) ZAGREB, July 9 (Hina) - The Croatian government discussed a Foreign Ministry report on the problem of Croatian citizens leaving for other countries at a closed session chaired by Premier Zlatko Matesa on Thursday. The report confirms the existence of international organisations organising departures. Talks will be conducted with representatives of these organisations, a statement from the government's Communications Office said, emphasising that the government will prevent such activities within legal authorisation. The government adopted a report by the Agency for facilitating real estate transactions on purchased real estate, and supported the Agency's work. The government formulated amendments to a final bill on obligations and rights of state officials. The government reached a conclusion on the additional purchase of 250,000 to 300,000 tonnes of wheat at a guaranteed price from peasant farms and cooperative farms. As purchase bearer, the commodity stockpiles administrative office at the Ministry of Economy will pay out the additional quantities of wheat in three instalments, with the final expiration on October 1, 1998. At the end of the session, the government proposed that the Premier confirm the election of Srecko Lovrincevic as prefect of Osijek- Baranja County. (hina) ha as 091551 MET jul 98
