GOVT DECIDES TO PURCHASE 200 000 TONNES OF WHEAT

( Editorial: --> 3979 ) ZAGREB, June 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Friday discussed amendments to its budget revision, which were presented by MPs, the Government Communications Office said in a statement. At a session held behind closed doors, the Government adopted and submitted an amendment to the final bill on the Law on Execution of the 1998 State Budget. The Government also decided to purchase 200,000 tonnes of surplus wheat from the 1998 harvest from individual farmers for a guaranteed price, the statement said. (hina) jn bag/rml 261810 MET jun 98
