DARDA, June 18 (Hina)- A local cemetery in the village of Darda,
Baranja, today saw a ceremonial burial of Nedjeljko Kocijan, a
member of the special police force of the Osijek-Baranja county.
Kocijan was killed recently in a shoot out with Yugoslav citizens
who illegally crossed the Croatian border on the Danube river.
Kocijan fought in the Homeland war since August 1991, when he joined
the Croatian police.
In April 1993 he became a member of a special police force of the
Osijek-Baranja County. Kocijan had been awarded with the Homeland
war memorial and with "Flash" and "Storm" medals.
