ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Friday
received the head of the UN Police Support Group (UNPSG) in the
Croatian Danube River Region, Souren Saraydarian, said a statement
from the Foreign Ministry.
Saraydarian informed Granic about his visit to New York and talks
with the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Under Secretary-
General for UN Peacekeeping Operations, Bernard Miyet.
Both Granic and Saraydarian expressed satisfaction with the daily
improvement of the security situation in the Croatian Danube River
region.
They also discussed details for the completion of the UNPSG
mission.
Granic informed Saraydarian about the development of the plan for
return and stressed the strong commitment of the Croatian
Government for the plan to be completed and confirmed by the
Croatian National Parliament by set deadlines, the statement
said.
