ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Saturday received the head of the IN Civil Police Support Group in
the Croatian Danube river region, Souren Seraydarian.
Granic informed Seraydarian about the steps the government was
taking with the aim of further normalisation of the situation in the
Danubian area, which was restored to Croatian authority on January
15.
Granic also informed Seraydarian about the implementation of the
government's binding instructions stipulating that the obtaining
of documents for the return of persons who had left Croatia was to be
facilitated.
Granic stressed that the government had intensified efforts for
drawing up a plan for the return of refugees and displaced persons,
the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Seraydarian applauded the adoption of the binding instructions and
expressed satisfaction with the steps the Croatian government was
undertaking.
He also expressed satisfaction with his cooperation of the Foreign
Ministry.
Granic and Seraydarian stressed that they would continue their
successful cooperation, to the aim of the successful completion of
the Support Group mandate by the deadline stipulated in the UN
Security Council's Resolution.
